MORRISONS is selling a 6ft Christmas tree for only £10 but you only have a few more days to get your hands on it.
The bargain Christmas tree normally sells for £20 but those with a More Card at the major supermarket chain can get it at the bargain price.
Described as a 180cm pine tree with wrapped branches and plastic stand, the deal was spotted by the Dansway Gifts and Bargains UK Facebook page.
The sale is only on until November 30 and is available in store, or via Morrisons click and collect service online.
“BARGAIN! ONLY £10 for this 6ft Christmas Tree with More Card at Morrisons,” the page captioned the post which featured photos of the trees in store.
“Fantastic price for those looking for a new Christmas tree this year.”
People reacted to the bargain price in the comment section of the post.
“Box of celebrations chocolates is near enough if not more than that these days,” wrote one person.
Another posted: “Not bad for a 6 ft one.”
The Christmas tree bargain price at Morrisons, comes at the perfect time for British households with nearly half putting up two or more trees this year.
A poll of 2,000 adults who decorate for the season found one in 10 plan to have more trees in their home this year compared to previous.
One in five households (20%) plan to put up three or more trees this year, 27% will have two and 51% will stick with one.
The living room (94%), dining room (46%) and hallway (40%) will be the most popular rooms to decorate.
With 52% spending more time and money on deciding and organising the trees, decorations and lights at Christmas now than they did 10 years ago, with 20% putting up three or more trees.
This is because it makes them happier (56%), they want to make a welcoming space for loved ones (50%) and think it makes their home look better in snaps (31%).
The luxury artificial Christmas tree and decor brand Balsam Hill conducted the research to launch its competition to find the UK’s most talented, self-taught tree-decorator.
The study also found as many as 18% will have their tree pride of place in the front room (or elsewhere) before November is finished.
But nearly as many (17 % won’t get theirs sorted until between December 15th and 24th – practically the day itself.
They’ll spend an average of four hours ornamenting the trees along with other rooms in the house, with Londoners taking a marathon 5.27 hours.
While men are more likely to spend more time and money on decorating compared to women; (4.35hrs vs 3.68hrs) and (£79.28 vs £49.69) each year.
And the optimum time to put up your Christmas tree is exactly 1:31pm on the 5th December.
